Magda Apanowicz

 Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born on November 8, 1985) is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her roles include Andy Jensen, on ABC Family's Kyle XY, and Lacy Rand, on Syfy's short-lived science fiction drama series Caprica. Emily Hartwell (born Maya Hartwell), is her sci-fi series Continuum. Recently, she appeared as Sandy on the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for a period of time in the ninth grade. She lived there with her uncle and went to the school in Jelenia Gora. She later studied at Vancouver Film School. Her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she was immediately attracted to acting. In 2002 she began her first acting appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She did a brief appearance in John Doe's TV series. From 2007 to 2009, she was the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she was a part of the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand as a regular character in the telenovela Caprica, with Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. Later, she was a part of Hellcats. In 2012, she starred in the role of Emily in Jane Espenson's second season of her romantic comedy web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the character of Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. The Green Inferno, although it was film in 2012, was released internationally in 2015. Apanowicz was cast to as Angela in Volition which is a science-fiction thriller film. The film was released in 2020. In the year 2019, Apanowicz was the lead character Sandy in the second season of the Netflix film You.
