Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actor from America. She is most famous for her roles on The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara / The Darkness. She also is famous for her character as The Armorer on the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also involved in the game video The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on December 18 1979 in Washington, D.C. Her family lived in Sterling, Virginia, as also in Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in professional and amateur theater productions. Swallow obtained a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies to earn an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She was a part of two world premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's play Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. In the year 2010, she won the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also starred alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theater Club. The show revolves around the hilarious mishaps of the two as they navigate very different life challenges with varying degrees of sanity and dignity.
