Pollyanna McIntosh

Pollyanna McIntosh was a child in Portugal and Colombia before returning to her hometown of Scotland and where she initially began to perform on stage, at The Edinburgh Festival. At the age of 16, she left for London and soon began to get involved in indie filmmaking (her first pay-per-view was as a stoner in Irvine Welsh's The Acid House (1998)) and theatre, both as an actress and director. Moving to Los Angeles in 2004 led to more theatre. She directed Anne Dudek (a regular star on Mad Men/Big Love (2006)) as well as David Dayan Fisher (a regular character on 24 (2001/NCIS 2003)) to praises of awe. Her first US movie role was as "Stacy" who was a manipulative and reborn Christian, in Headspace (2005). Her first film appearance was in Headspace (2005) as the manipulative born-again Christian "Thumper Wint". This comedy was written by Heathers (1988). Exam (2009), which she worked with in London and LA was the next. BAFTA-nominated for Outstanding British Debut and winner at the Santa Barbara Film Fest of Best Independent, Pollyanna's performance was "smart and sassy" in equal parts the emotional core of the movie" as well as her ability to recognize the "emotional vulnerability” of her spirited and tough character. GQ simply stated that Pollyanna McIntosh was a gorgeous actor and actress "extraordinarily gifted actor". Como Quien No Quiere La Cosa (2013) (As if you Don't Like it! ) is a hilarious South American farce in which she plays Brit comedian Trevor Lock's unhappy wife. Filmed in Peru the actress speaks Spanish throughout. John Landis directs Burke and Hare (2010). She portrays Isla Fisher's best friend along with Andy Serkis and Jessica Hynes and Tom Wilkinson. Lucky McKee's The Woman (2011) was an enormous success. The film received rave reviews and also topped the New York Times readers' most viewed films.
